Our lab mix has been licking his front paws raw from the spring mud, and after three days of this balm they’re already looking less red. I love that it’s a thick, waxy salve—stays put instead of rubbing off on the floor. He doesn’t try to groom it off, either, which tells me it doesn’t sting.
The beeswax and beef tallow base is thick enough to actually stay on his pads during our morning walks, and after two weeks his cracked front paw finally feels smooth. Not greasy like some balms I've tried, it absorbs fast enough that he stopped trying to lick it off within a minute.
My dog has been licking his paws nonstop all spring, and after a week of nightly applications with this balm, the irritation has visibly calmed down. I love that the beeswax and beef tallow make it thick enough to stay put without being greasy on my furniture.
